Sega Australia has announced new download content for the PS3 game Aliens vs Predator, the Swarm Map Pack.

 

It will cost Playstation users on the 18th March 2010 for AUD$9.95 and NZD$11.50 from the PlayStation®Store.

 

The content that comes with it is:

Two new Multiplayer maps for six different online modes (Deathmatch, Predator Hunt, Infestation, Species Deathmatch, Mixed Species Deathmatch and Domination):

Two new Survivor maps in which up to four Marines battle to stay alive against increasing swarms of Aliens:

I know this is late news but here is some updates.

According to WoW.com the movie will be directed by Sam Raimi who produced the movies Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journey whcih were filmed in New Zealand.

Wow.com had said that people at the Ain't it Cool News, had said that is getting in contact with "a certain legendary locale." Judging by this I am hoping that they do film it in New Zealand. Sam Rami loved filming in New Zealand and if he chooses again New Zealand to film in New Zealand this could mean that other movies (made from games) would be filmed in New Zealand this will also mean that the Premiere or the release of the movie (early) could be us New Zealanders.

 
Legendary Pictures will be producing the film. The company purchased the rights to the film from Blizzard in May 2006. Robert Rodat will be writing the script. Rodat is the screenwriter for Saving Private Ryan and The Patriot.

In a months time you will see a DLC on the PC, Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3 for Bioshock 2.

This game comes just after the movie How To Train a Dragon. Activision will be working alongside Dream Works to make a game on the animated movie How to Train a Dragon. This is no way in particular to Jane and the Dragon.

 

Explore the so called island Berk after the movie left off (watch the movie first would be a good idea so you know the concept of the game) and take control of the characters Hiccup or Astrid.

You should see a new DLC (Download Content) in the marketplace for Assassins Creed 2 game on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

 

Vanities shows Ezio appear in Florence which is under tyrannical yoke of the monk Saconarola. You get a new move which is called a Spring Jump (not sure if I know what it does) Ezio will assist Machiavelli to help liberate the city in 10 new sequences.

 

Vanities downloaded content is only 320 Microsoft Points.

 

The second tier of the DLC will cost 520 Microsoft Points to download and will consist of adding the three templar's secret locations the Palazzo Medici, Santa Maria dei Frari and the Arsenal Shipyard.

 

Having a look at the video shows how more enticed this game is going to be. To me there are two really good games coming out this year and it is hard to pick which one I think would be the better and much more outstanding game to chose. My picks are Halo: Reach and Fable 3. They both are making huge improvements and are using there time very well in trying to make it the best game ever.

 

This video shows new weapons as well a the cool story line as a king. Improved techniques and magic. You get to play with your awesome magic, old weapons and etc just that Fable 3 has made it more improved.

Halo fans will be excited to when the Halo: Reach beta opens. On May 3rd Halo fans will expect to play one of the best Beta games in console history with Microsoft expecting millions of fans to try out the beta.

 

So don't forget I know I won't, 3rd of May which is presumably the 4th of May for us New Zealanders (Time differential).

The trailer for Sup Com 2 (Supreme Commander 2) is really just the same with any other strategy game. I just hope they don't have it on the Xbox 360 becuase the first one was a complete mess on the Xbox 360 as the controls where hard to follow and not to mention the camera angles. Anyway enough about Supreme Commander 1, Supreme Commander 2 looks like there will be some units there from the previous one and brand new ships and aircrafts.

Australians and New Zealanders get the Public Beta Trial on PS3 according to a source on NZ Playstation website. ModNations Racer is out from the 22nd January 2010.

 

ModNations Racer allows gamers with a PS3 to build and make there own vehicles, tracks and characters. Just like any other Halo forge game or Far Cry 2 where you make and create your own map and share it with ModNations Racer Community.

Microsoft say that Halo: Reach will be the best game for 2010. But will it? Will it keep up the standard for it being the best First Person Shooter? Will it make sense this time?

 

The trailer below looks awesome to me a pity I don't have ODST anymore to play the beta butyou all should be happy with ODSt to be the first to test and try it out.

Borderlands players from Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be delighted to hear of another DLC for Borderlands. The game will be released on the Marketplace for the 360 on 29th of December and January 8th 2010 for the Playstation®Store.

 

800 Microsoft points for the DLC when buying on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

 

2k Games announced this DLC for Borderlands called Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot.

 

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot is mayhem by adding three new Riot Mode arenas where players will endure, onslaught of Pandora's worst enemies. Work together, with other players will help fend off the masses as they fight for fame, honour, and more importantly, loot.

According to the news on NZ's Playstation website Australia and New Zealand confirm that both countries will involve in GT Academy racing competition.

They will try there best to make GT Academy bigger when they start this competition.

 

The competition works out in 5 Stages:

 

Stage One: will offer Gran Turismo fans a sneak preview of the hotly-anticipated Gran Turismo 5 game, due for release during 2010. Competitors will record flying laps on a time trial-based track available via PlayStation®Network, accessed through PS3. Unlike the first GT Academy, participants will not have to enter the competition using the GT5 Prologue game itself, and so even more hopeful racing drivers are expected to take part.

Project Natal as we all know it will probably beat the Nintendo Wii but will it be worth the money?

 

It is rumored to be $249(USD), $344.74 (NZD), $269.29 (AUD), but could it be more?

 

Could it even come with its own bundle with a 250GB HDD and a Console and up to 14 games to collect all been developed by Rare.

 

It is expected to Globally ship 5 million units of shipment worldwide.

 

Wouldn't there be a problem with moving your hands? Meaning everytime you move your hands for too long they get tired yet when you use your fingers on a controller you can play forever? Well that is just my thoughts.

 

Anyway back to the story, British Gaming magazine MCV are saying that we might see it on the shelves in November 2010.

 

We will have more information on this when we get it.

Ubisoft announced that Assassin Creed 2 for Playstation 3.

 

The first content for Assassin Creed 2 is called "Battle of Forli" which will be released in January 2010 don't know a specific date yet.

 

Second content for Assassin Creed 2 is called "Bonfire of the Vanities" and that will release later on in February 2010, again no specific date just yet.

 

Now apparently they state that each content is at least 1.0GB each/per DLC, and to play it well you know what you need. The game and internet.

 

We will find some more information about this DLC and find oout the specific dates and what will be in these DLC.
